HaBucket ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our habit tracking application.

We believe in privacy by design. Your habit data stays on your device, and we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services.

No Tracking or Analytics

HaBucket does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services. We do not track your behavior, collect usage statistics, or share any data with advertisers. Your habits are your business, not ours.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally (On Your Device)

All your habit data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it unless you explicitly export it:

  • Habit names, descriptions, icons, and colors
  • Completion records, streaks, and statistics
  • App preferences and theme settings
  • Reminder configurations and schedules

Data Stored in the Cloud (For Pro Users)

If you subscribe to HaBucket Pro, we store minimal data to manage your subscription:

  • Anonymous device identifier (not linked to your identity)
  • Subscription status and plan type
  • Purchase transaction IDs (for subscription verification)
  • Subscription expiration date

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the app functionality
  • Process and manage your subscription
  • Send you reminder notifications (if enabled)
  • Improve our services and user experience
  • Provide customer support

Data Storage & Security

Your habit data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. We do not have access to your personal habit information unless you explicitly export and share it.

Subscription data is securely stored using Supabase with industry-standard encryption. We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases securely through Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat - For subscription management
  • Supabase - For secure cloud data storage
  • Apple App Store / Google Play - For payment processing

These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.

Data Retention

Your local habit data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Cloud-stored subscription information is retained as long as you have an active account and may be retained for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under GDPR (European Union) and CCPA (California), you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access - View all data we have about you
  • Right to Portability - Export your habit data anytime
  • Right to Deletion - Delete local data by uninstalling the app
  • Right to Erasure - Request deletion of cloud-stored subscription data
  • Right to Opt-Out - Disable notifications at any time
  • Right to Non-Discrimination - We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights

Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't collect:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Your location or GPS data
  • Your contacts or phone data
  • Usage analytics or behavior tracking
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Any data from other apps on your device

Children's Privacy

HaBucket is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
